Ceili (kay-lee) is a Gaelic word meaning a party, with live musicians, performers, dancing, and entertainment for all ages.
Downtown Cañon City will come alive Saturday night with a Ceili performed in the street, providing staged Irish music, step dance and other professional performances.

Presenting the Highland Games at the 2005 Gaelic Highland Festival will be a group well-versed in the Highland Games.
The Scottish Society of the Pikes Peak Region have been clashing swords, hurlin' the haggis, throwing the hammer and putting on competitive dancing in the Pikes Peak Region for 27 years.
The Kilted Golf Tournament is a one-day golf outing where all the rules of the game apply, with a Highlands twist - participants will be wearing kilts!
In the Wee Village, we have special, age-appropriate competitions that mock the athletic events as well as Storytelling and entertainment.

Experience what a Full Irish Breakfast is and savor other food and drink of the Emerald Isles, tea (the Irish way!) in Tierney's Tea Room and sample the stouts of McCarthy's Beer Garden.

We'll bring Celtic history to life with spinning and weaving demonstrations, storytelling, and re-enactments from a period of Celtic history.
There will be a Highland Dance Competition on Saturday and Highland Dance Exhibition on Sunday. These dancers are great!

Bring your casting skill and win prizes at the fly fishing competition.
We'll kick off the Festival with a formal Tartan Ball in the historic St. Cloud Hotel, downtown and have the Highland Dance Competition and Exhibition Dancing on the Festival grounds.
Celtic artists show their work including painting, photography, jewelry and sculpture. Many of these works of art will be for sale in Gallagher's Market Place.
The Wee Village is a land of fun and creativity for families and the wee lassies and laddies with their own verison of the Highland Games, storytelling and entertainment.
